PERFORMANCE OF POLYMER GROUTS MADE FROM WASTES FOR PERMEABLE RIGID PAVEMENT CONNECTIONS

This research developed polymer grouts made from wastes such as fly ash, palm oil fuel and silica fume. The selected served an interlocking key between the StormPav covers a grout to seal gaps keys covers. Based on compressive strength workability of grouts, mix ratio resin ash = 1:1.00 was chosen grout, while 1:1.50 used form key. Mix ratios had 98.90 MPa 81.70 MPa, respectively, flexural 53.00 61.90 MPa. Moreover, increasing content in decreased water absorption volume permeable voids. In terms shear strength, performed well with determined 3.98 Even after 25 days exposure high concentration sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid, chloride, magnesium sulphate, met minimum requirement 1.38 stated by Iowa Department Transportation. Therefore, it can be concluded that both were suitable for use due their good physical mechanical properties.
